SolaX Power and Sou Energy announce partnership to boost energy storage market in the North and Northeast

The multinational leader in solar storage solutions, SolaX Power, and the largest manufacturer of photovoltaic generators in the North and Northeast, Sou Energy, have just announced a partnership that aims to boost the energy storage market. According to data from ANEEL, approximately 30% of all installed power in the country is installed in the North and Northeast regions, which gives this market enormous growth potential. In addition to this scenario, the expected increase in the cost of Fio B – the tariff that aims to cover the costs of using the energy distribution network – also tends to boost the sale of batteries for energy storage.

For the executive director of SolaX Power in Brazil, Giberto Camargos, “some factors make this region very promising to embrace this demand for battery and inverter solutions, for example, the potential for solar energy production, which allows the surplus of this energy to be stored for consumption in times such as blackouts or interruptions in supply by the concessionaire. This way, consumers will not suffer the impacts of this lack of supply, will have energy independence and a more sustainable lifestyle”, emphasizes the executive.

And since this is a segment that is still in its infancy in Brazil, partnerships with solid and recognized companies in the market are essential for Brazilians to be able to learn about and have this storage possibility even closer. “Sou Energy, in addition to being one of the most recognized Brazilian companies in the sector, is responsible for launching trends in solar energy equipment in the market, which is why we believe that this partnership will boost the entire chain in this promising region, in addition to making solutions more accessible to these consumers”, concludes Gilberto.

Sou Energy currently operates as a manufacturing industry - in addition to assembling generators, it manufactures its own fixing structure, both for roofs and ground. The company is present nationwide, but with a greater presence in the North and Northeast regions. “The partnership with SolaX came at a very opportune time, since by 2029 we should have the highest cost of wire B, which makes the use of batteries even more viable. Once you can generate your own energy and store it at home at the same cost as you produced it and then use it, it no longer makes sense to generate this energy and feed it into the power grid. This is because, when you use it, it will be worth less than when it was fed into the grid. We believe that the higher the cost of the grid, the greater the opportunity for the use of batteries”, emphasizes Mario Viana, Commercial and Marketing Director at Sou Energy. The director is also optimistic about the future of energy storage. “We believe that this is a market that will explode in the coming years”.

Regarding the partnership with SolaX, Sou Energy points out that two major market players working together can leverage the entire storage market, for which integrators need to be one step ahead to be successful. “Brazil is just getting started - we are raising awareness among players, solar energy integrators, about the importance of selling hybrid inverters, regardless of battery use. This way, when the price of batteries drops, they will be able to make a second sale, reserving a market for the future”, he adds.

About SolaX Power - A multinational company founded in 2012, headquartered in Hangzhou, China, and with branches in several countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and the USA. With over 2,000 employees worldwide, the company is recognized for its research and development: it has over 100 international patents and over 500 market certifications.

About Sou Energy - Sou Energy has been in the market since 2017 and is among the three largest manufacturers of photovoltaic generators in the country. It is the largest in the North/Northeast, with over 6,500 active resellers throughout Brazil. With its manufacturing headquarters in Eusébio/CE and an office in Fortaleza, the company brings innovations to the solar energy market through sustainable and efficient solutions for integrators throughout the country.
